Dua Lipa’s melodies were played more than any other individual’s in the UK last year after her multi-grant winning album ‘Future Nostalgia’ shot up the graphs during the lockdown. And now Dua Lipa has taken over Spotify too as the second most-listened-to artist!

The 25-year-old singer and songwriter Dua Lipa garnered fame in 2017 with her track New Rules, and now enjoying a stellar musical journey with her disco-pop record winning her critical acclaim, Grammys, and Brit Awards. Lipa’s 2018 single “One Kiss” with Calvin Harris peaked at number one in the UK and became the longest-running number-one single for a female artist in the world. In 2019, she won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Her 2019 single “Don’t Start Now” peaked at number two in the UK and US, and number four on the US Hot 100 year-end chart. Her track ‘Levitating’ got a whopping 855m views on YouTube.
The pop-star celebrated her achievement on Saturday. She took to social media and also informed her millions of fans that she’s has taken over Spotify on the second number as the most listened to female artist in the world.
The British singer recently made headlines when she used her social media accounts to condemn Israeli aggression against Palestinians. She along with Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid are vocal and prominent about their stance on Palestine. Fans and followers are sending their love and appreciation to her over social media.
They were also among the celebrities who were heavily criticized by the supporters of the Jewish state for lending out support for Palestinians.
Dua Lipa is currently dating model Anwar Hadid, brother to Gigi and Bella Hadid. They have been together since 2019 and often posts pictures together.
