Kurulus: Osman the series

Kurlus: Osman is the sequel to the very popular series Dirilis: Ertugrul is a Turkish dramatization TV series made by Mehmet Bozdağ and featuring Burak Özçivit in the nominal roles. It centers around the existence of Osman I, a settler of the Ottoman Empire. It is also the spin-off of Diriliş: Ertuğrul, which was based on the existence of Ertuğrul, father of Osman, who was played by Engin Altan Düzyatan.

The cast

The cast of Kurulus includes Burak Ozcivit, Azalihar Karalar, Cengis Koskun and Ragip Savas with others. The cinematography is done by Ömer Faruk Karacan and the series is shot in Turkey.

What was left off in Dirilis: Ertugrul?

As the holy crusaders swept through the Middle East. The Turkish tribes fight them off into their new land that is promised. A young man Ertugrul, the son of Suleman Shah had to take the responsibility of his tribe as a brave warrior. Ertugrul from crusaders to Byzantine. Ertugrul flicked off every evil with his companions. With on-going wars on his way he came against the Mongols and his leader Noyan who threatened their camp.

Subsequently, the sequel of Kurulus: Osman follows Ertugrul Ghazi’s son, Osman Ghazi who was born in 1259. He became a leader after his father’s death. This is a different storyline as Osman, falls in love with Mai Hatun but her father disagrees, and then Osman went to conquer his neighbors. This eventually becomes the start of his Ottoman Empire.

The battles against evil

Kurulus: Osman incorporates Osman Ghazi’s battles and how he establishes and controls the Ottoman Empire. It depicts his battles against Byzantium and the Mongols of the Ilkhanate and how he had the option to tie down freedom from the Sultanate of Rum to build up a sovereign state that would face the Byzantine and Mongol Empires and would respect the Turks.

Kurulus: Osman is trying to make its mark in Pakistan the way Ertugrul did. Since Ertugrul has not finished in Pakistan yet. The audiences are getting annoyed by spoilers. Watch out for those if you are a fan on Dirilis!
