Minar-e-Pakistan incident shocks nation

Pakistan commended its 74th Independence Day on August 14, 2021. Its women considered this a reason to praise the country, a sad occurrence sent the nation into a condition of shock and mistrust. Khalil-ur-Rehman finally stands up for women this time.

Khalil-ur-Rehman speaks up for the women

The shocking incident involves a woman – a TikToker Ayesha Akram – who was attacked, assaulted, and grabbed by many men at the Minare Pakistan.

Since the recordings got viral, an uproar started happening on social media where people request punishment for criminals. Moreover, and a more secure country for women. While various famous people, writers, and activists have been opposing the horrific crime, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, as well, has approached with sentiments for women.

Khalil-ur-Rehman accepts that feminists are right

Khalil-ur-Rehman has, on numerous occasions communicated his conflict with the women’s activist development and feminism representation. Many would even think that he hates feminism. Especially after the Aurat March slogan, “Mera Jism, Meri Marzi” which became a trademark of Aurat March every year.

However, during his interview on ‘Bus Bohat Ho Gaya’ on Bol TV, Rehman expressed that maybe women’s activists and feminists have been correct from the beginning.

He stated, “Mujhe maan lena chahiye keh hamare han aurat ki hurmat, izzat, abroo mehfooz nahi hai.” He expressed while alluding to cases of ladies about Pakistan not being safe for them.

Furthermore, during the interview, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar expressed his shock at the terrible incident that occurred in Minar-e-Pakistan. He said, “I don’t have the foggiest idea who to blame. I’m attempting to comprehend the psychological level and perspective of the 400 individuals present there.”

He lamented that the many men who took part in the act were not criminals or goons; they were standard men who exist in our general society.
