Rasheed Naz passes away!

Rasheed Naz, a veteran actor, died on Monday, according to his family. The actor was 73 years old when he died. His daughter-in-law and actress Madiha Rizvi confirmed the news on Instagram. She captioned a photo of Naz with, “This morning, our beloved Baba Rashid Naz passed away peacefully. Please recite Surah Fateha for the soul that has passed away.”

Rasheed Naz was a Pakistani actor who appeared in films and on television. In 1971, he began his television career as an actor in a Pashto television play. Naz has also appeared in plays written in Pashto, Hindko, and Urdu.

‘Aik Tha Gaoon’ was his first Urdu play (1973). ‘Namoos’ was his first well-received play. He also appeared in ‘Dasht,’ Pakistan’s first private television show, which aired on N T M. The well-known actor has appeared in plays written in Pashto, Hindko, and Urdu.

Naz made his first Pashto film, ‘Zama Jang (Meri Jang),’ in 1988, in addition to Urdu projects. With Syed Noor’s ‘Dakait,’ he made his big-screen debut. His performances in Shoaib Mansoor’s films ‘Khuda Ke Liye’ and ‘Verna’ were praised. Naz also appeared in ‘Ishq Mohabbat Apnapan,’ a popular single directed by Mansoor and starring Iman Ali.
