Chadwick Boseman has been honoured at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards, placing his exhibition in Ma Rainey’s ‘Black Bottom’ in solid dispute for the Oscars. The SAG awards function witnessed Boseman’s co-lead Viola Davis granted for her work on the film, while the Netflix show The Trial of the Chicago 7 took out a great cast. Boseman’s widow Simone Ledward-Boseman quotes his words to acknowledge the honor, which follows his success at the Golden Globes a month ago.

Chadwick Aaron Boseman was an American actor and playwright. After studying directing at Howard University, he became prominent in theatre. He also won a Drama League Fellowship and got nominated for a Jeff Award for Deep Azure. He got exposure as an actor on the big screen in 2010. Chadwich achieved international attention and fame for playing superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019.

He acted up in four MCU films, including an eponymous 2018 film that got him an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture, also a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. As the black entertainer to feature an MCU film, he was additionally named in the 2018 Time 100.

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer. On the contrary, he continued to act despite having the disease. Furthermore, he also extended his support for cancer charities. His final movie, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom got released posthumously the same year he got an Oscar. He passed away in August 2020.

Chadwick has been nailing the competition consistently for his last film, with his better half Simone accepting the Golden Globe, the NAACP Award, the Gotham Award and the Critics’ Choice Award for her significant other in moving talks.

Boseman’s widow accepted his award on his behalf and quotes the wishes to the audience. Furthermore, she extended her gratitude to her late husband’s parents Leroy and Carolyn, Ma Rainey star Viola Davis, playwright August Wilson and actor Denzel Washington.
