Lionel Messi fulfills social media promise to fan by signing Barcelona tattoo
We have seen Football players or players, in general, giving their sporting goods (shirts/hockey/rackets) to their fans during the games. This is not new for them. But Lionel Messi won them all as he kept a promise he made to a fan on Instagram by personally signing the most magnificent tattoo on his back.
Igor Magalhaes love for Lionel Messi
It all began back in 2019 when a Barca fan Igor Magalhaes decided to get a big back tattoo of one of the most iconic Messi images: holding up his No 10 shirt after his sublime late-winning goal with Barcelona 3-2 victory over Real Madrid and silenced the Bernabeu crowd. The tattoo took three full sessions to complete.

But it only really started making headlines this week when Igor who is also a military firefighter watched Argentina’s national team train in Brasilia during the Copa America, revealed his tattoo to a TV crew.
An Instagram post, shared by TyC Sports, was seen by millions of people in just a few days – including Messi, who dropped an incredibly rare response on social media. “Terrible tattoo!” joked the Barca icon (used in the way English speakers might say ‘wicked tattoo’), adding: “I love it! I would like to see it and sign it.” and he did.
Amazingly, last weekend a gathering between the pair was arranged outside the Argentina team hotel in Brazil. Messi arose with his public group’s security and a marker pen, strolled over to the gathering of fans reached towards Magalhaes and signed his tattoo as guaranteed.

Igor Magalhaes joked that he can now die in peace after meeting his football idol and getting the signature inked on as part of his epic tattoo.
Now that’s what we call a fan! way to go Igor.
