Ahad Raza Mir in Netflix’s Resident Evil

Variety has announced that Canadian actor Ahad Raza Mir has been cast in the Netflix original series “Resident Evil.” The character Mir will play in the series has yet to be disclosed by Netflix.

Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery are among the new cast members released by Netflix.

“Resident Evil” is a live-action scripted series based on Capcom’s popular video game property that will tell a fresh story. Albert Wesker will be played by Lance Reddick, with Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nuez also joining the cast.

“Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures,” states the series logline from Netflix. “In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.”

The series will be produced by Constantin Film, which previously produced a six-part film trilogy based on the games. Mary Leah Sutton also writes and produces, with Andrew Dabb serving as writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

When can I see Resident Evil in Pakistan?

From July 14, “Resident Evil” will be available to stream on Netflix.

Ahad Raza Mir’s recent projects in Pakistan

Mir has a shining career in Pakistan, where he is currently filming “Hum Tum,” a comedy series for Hum TV. At Action Consultancy, he is represented by Hamid Hussain and Muhammad Yaqoob.

Action Consultancy also has a film production arm, and Mir is co-producing a thriller set in Greece with Hamid Hussain, which will star a mainstream Pakistani female actress. More information is being kept under wraps for the time being.

Mir’s performances in “Parwaaz Hay Junoon” (2018), “Aangan” (2018), “Ehd-e-Wafa” (2019), and “Yeh Dil Mera” (2019) have all received critical acclaim (2019). The series “Dhoop Ki Deewar,” in which Mir co-starred with Sajal Aly, was a global hit for ZEE5.

Mir made his debut as a producer with the film “Kalasha,” which is now in production. Furthermore, has established himself as a theatre performer in Canada. Moreover, after playing Tybalt in “Romeo and Juliet” (2014) and Lennox in “Macbeth” (2015) for The Shakespeare Company, he performed the lead role in “Hamlet: A Ghost Story” (2019). His portrayal of Hamlet earned him the Betty Mitchell Award for finest performance by an actor in Canada.
